On behest of her father. she. along with her palatial home and went to the emerald island at the southern tipof India. now known as Sri Lanka.

एक ऐसी ही शिक्षिका थी संघमित्रा सम्राट अशोक की पुत्री सम्राट अशोक भारत वर्ष का सबसे प्रसिद्ध सम्राट, जिसने महात्मा बुद्ध का अनुशरण किया ओर प्रसारित किया अशोक स्तम्भ आजतक हमारे इतिहास की धरोहर है । संघमित्रा ने अपना पिता का अनुशरण करते हुए अपने देश के अतिरिक्त श्रीलंका जाकर बुद्ध का त्य, अहिंसा एवं ज्ञान के संदेश को घर … घर पहुँचाया । उसी सत्य, अहिंसा एवं ज्ञान के प्रकाश को सिवान में संघमित्रा पब्लिक स्कूल छात्रों तक पहुँचाना के लिए कटिबद्ध है ।
